Bird Photo Gallery

Most bird photo pages in the bird gallery have a link to the species in Cornell’s All About Birds so you can find information on food, habitat, and other good information to help you locate the bird!

Birds are arranged in eBird phylogenetic order. Click/tap the bird name to go to the page for the species. Quickly go to the name on desktops and laptops by using  the keyboard shortcut for “find” (<Ctrl>+F in Windows, <Cmd>+F in Apple) and insert a part or all of the common name in the search box. Be sure the punctuation and spelling is correct, e.g. “Black-crowned Night-Heron,” not “… Night Heron.”

In addition to the photos, we are now adding recordings/spectrographs. (“Spectrographs” is now the term that Cornel Laboratory of Ornithology uses; we used to use the term “sonograms.”) While not necessary for common species, it is good to get into the habit of including recordings/spectrographs in your reports so that you remember to do it for uncommon species that require more documentation.
