Not everyone gets to look out of the window and find a bird for their yard list, county list and state list as well as one that is a newly recorded Howard County record.

Jeff Cullers notes: Based on three days of observations the dove feeds between 7:30 and 9:00 am. It always feeds on the ground under the shepherds hook closest to the garage. When done feeding or flushed it goes to either a Red Maple in my front yard or one of the large maples along Haven Oak Ct. Once perched it is difficult to find and it stays perched for long periods of time. It also seems to feed in the evening around 5 until it decides to go to roost or fly away.
