PVSP Headquarters is at Hollofield. For information, call 410-461-5005 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday – Friday.

To report problems, call headquarters or Park Watch at 1-800-825-7275.

Bow Hunting: There may be a deer hunting season in the fall and winter. See the Hunting Guide at PVSP web page or Department of Natural Resources.

The Patapsco Valley Watershed had been the site of a number of fishway construction projects at dams, which DNR now says have not lived up to expectations. Several of the dams have been removed, restoring free flow of the river.

PVSP History

If you regularly bird in the PVSP, consider getting a trail map. A PVSP complete trail map is recommended for travel away from the river. The map is available for purchase at the Hollofield area Headquarters Building, the Avalon Visitor Center, and the Marriottsville contact station (McKeldin area).
