Size: 251 acres.

Habitat: Deciduous woods, scrub meadow, pond, stream, and wetlands.

Best Months: Mid-April to mid-May; September into early October for birds; summer months for dragonflies and butterflies.

Coverage Time: One-half hour to several hours.

Trails/Paths: 1.3 mile trail in South Area.

Notable Birds: Common Loon, Red-throated Loon, American Bittern, Black-crowned Night-Heron, Merlin, American Woodcock, Winter Wren, Orange-crowned Warbler, Lincoln’s Sparrow

Amenities: A few benches. No facilities

Handicapped Access: All paths are dirt or mown grass so access is extremely limited.

Operation and Hours: Howard County Park, dawn to dusk or as posted.
