In January, 2017, one bird appeared at Fox Chase. Because it is an area visited by birders, that single individual was tracked through the remainder of winter and well into spring. Fortunately, Jeff Culler made an effort to check regularly, and when a mate showed up on June 1 of that year, he tracked the pair during the entire breeding cycle through two nestings.
