Unfortunately, House Sparrows will sometimes take over a nest (last photo above). But during the nesting season, there is a lot of activity as seen in this series of photos below taken by Connie McRill at the MD32 bridge over the Patuxent River in Sykesville on June 26, 2025.

While not necessary for common species, it is good to get into the habit of including photographs and recordings/spectrographs so that you do it for uncommon species that require more documentation.
