Brants have a fast flight, and the Brant is pulling away from the Canada Geese–even though they took off at the same time. You can imagine the long slender wings on a stocky bird especially compared to the Canada Geese to its left. Also seen is a Brants wingstroke which is downward and does not get above its back
While not necessary for common species, it is good to get into the habit of including photographs and recordings/spectrographs so that you do it for uncommon species that require more documentation.
