What about cancellations?
Meetings at the Robinson Nature Center are cancelled if the Howard County Government has announced government buildings are closed and will not open for the day. For other venues where a Howard County Bird Club (HCBC) event was scheduled, the cancellation will be posted on the front page of the HCBC website in a banner headline and on the website calendar. Field Trips and Workshops may be cancelled at the discretion of the leader and announced in advance when possible. Visit New Cliff Swallow Colony on Stephens Road

Park along South Eternal Springs Drive off of Stephens Road, near intersection with Ironleaf Trail.
Cancelled in case of rain. Good for beginning, as well as more experienced, birders. Great potential for photographs. Easy walking on sidewalks and powerline gravel roads; stout shoes advised; less than 0.5 mile. A rare opportunity to visit an eye-level colony and see a variety of other powerline species. Learn some fascinating aspects of this handsome species’ life history along with information about its expansion within Howard County.
