What about cancellations?
Meetings at the Robinson Nature Center are cancelled if the Howard County Government has announced government buildings are closed and will not open for the day. For other venues where a Howard County Bird Club (HCBC) event was scheduled, the cancellation will be posted on the front page of the HCBC website in a banner headline and on the website calendar. Field Trips and Workshops may be cancelled at the discretion of the leader and announced in advance when possible. Managed Deer Hunts in Howard County Parks and Open Space 2025-2026
Delaware Shorebird Hotspots
An all-day trip to shorebird hotspots along the Delaware Bay in Kent and Sussex Counties, Delaware. Specific locations to be selected based on reported birds at the time – but may include Port Mahon, Ted Harvey Conservation Area, DuPont Nature Center and nearby Marvel Salt Marsh Preserve, and Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge. Expect hot, windy, and potentially buggy conditions – but the possibility of some truly amazing shorebird action will be worth it! We will stop at Wawa (or similar) for lunch, but packed snacks and water are a good idea.
