What about cancellations?
Meetings at the Robinson Nature Center are cancelled if the Howard County Government has announced government buildings are closed and will not open for the day. For other venues where a Howard County Bird Club (HCBC) event was scheduled, the cancellation will be posted on the front page of the HCBC website in a banner headline and on the website calendar. Field Trips and Workshops may be cancelled at the discretion of the leader and announced in advance when possible. Butterfly Class and Walk
Class at 9:30 a.m., walk at 11:00 a.m.
Join experts from the Howard County Bird Club for a morning all about butterflies! Start indoors with a beginner-friendly butterfly identification class covering key features, common local species, and simple techniques to help you recognize butterflies in the field. Then participate in a guided walk around our Mt. Pleasant trails and gardens to apply the butterfly identification tips and tricks you just learned about. Our native plant and pollinator gardens are bursting with flowers that attract butterflies for you to observe.

- Please remember to dress for the weather and bring your reusable water bottle.
- This is beginning level walk for adults and interested children over 8 years old (accompanied by an adult).
- Though dogs on leash are permitted on our grounds, please refrain from bringing your pet on this hike.
