What about cancellations?
Meetings at the Robinson Nature Center are cancelled if the Howard County Government has announced government buildings are closed and will not open for the day. For other venues where a Howard County Bird Club (HCBC) event was scheduled, the cancellation will be posted on the front page of the HCBC website in a banner headline and on the website calendar. Field Trips and Workshops may be cancelled at the discretion of the leader and announced in advance when possible. Baltimore City Nature Challenge (BCNC) at Howard County Gardens

Participants must register with the Howard County Department of Recreation & Parks to participate at: Opportunity Details. Once you are registered, you will receive an email from Erin Wilder asking you for your location – let her know you will be at the “Howard County Public Garden in Glenwood”.
Participate in the BCNC, a worldwide event! You may come for the entire day or whatever portion of the day you are available. We will be documenting species (photos and recordings) on the property using the iNaturalist app. If you are new to iNaturalist, Sue Muller will train you. Please have it on your phone before you arrive.
If you have a fishing license, you can survey the pond for fish (catch and release).
Please note there are no developed trails on the property and tick exposure can be expected.
