Waterford Flats: Shorebird Habitat Area on Sharps at Waterford Farm

Bird Photographs

During the first two weeks of April 2021, there was a lot of interest on the part of those who had attended the training for Waterford Flats or had viewed the training video, and these people took enough photographs to indicate that the birds also appreciated this new habitat. The first section below shows photographs of a bird that is observed in Howard County only irregularly. When the land owner saw it, he notified a member of the Howard County Bird Club who had worked with him on designing and building Waterford Flats, and word spread.

The second section has photographs of water birds, and the third shows photographs in the area adjacent to the impoundment or flying over.
