Young Birder Fall Warblers Walk at Howard County Conservancy

| Details: Wind, NE;cloudy with light rain, 65-72 degrees. Fun to hear a Dickcissel with most of the group in morning flight between 7-8 am, as well as observing active migration, including a late Canada Warbler, Yellow-rumped Warblers, Cape May Warblers, Magnolia Warblers, and Palm Warblers, as well as several Red-headed Woodpeckers and a Red-breasted Nuthatch. Unfortunately, most of the walk was dead until most participants had left, where we were treated to large flocks with a Ruby-crowned Kinglet, several Blue-headed Vireos, and a majestic Philadelphia Vireo. | |
