Mount Pleasant Butterfly Walk

Details: It was a mostly cloudy day with temperatures between 77 and 85 degrees. The walk covered the Community Garden, the Cedar trail, the Old Oak trail to the butterfly garden, the Tulip Poplar trail back to the parking lot, the Grassland Loop to the Hackberry tree at its northernmost point, the Davis Branch trail to the bridge across the Davis Branch, and the Stone Wall trail. The target species for this walk were Hackberry Emperor and American Snout, both of which were found. Other good finds include five Juniper Hairstreaks, a Red-spotted Purple and a Viceroy.
