Details: The walk was co-sponsored by the Howard County Conservancy and the Howard County Bird Club. It was a party cloudy day with a high temperature of 90 degrees A total of 17 species were seen. The list of species seen is below. The walk covered much of the grassland loop, the small garden in front of the Gudelsky Center, and the Tulip Poplar trail to the Butterfly garden. The target species for this walk were Coral and Banded Hairstreak which are flying for a few weeks at this time of year. Three Coral Hairstreaks and a single Banded Hairstreak were found. The single American Snout was also a nice find. Several photos taken by Chris Ausin are included in the report. Thanks Chris.
