What about cancellations?
Meetings at the Robinson Nature Center are cancelled if the Howard County Government has announced government buildings are closed and will not open for the day. For other venues where a Howard County Bird Club (HCBC) event was scheduled, the cancellation will be posted on the front page of the HCBC website in a banner headline and on the website calendar. Field Trips and Workshops may be cancelled at the discretion of the leader and announced in advance when possible. Farmland Raptor Conservation event at CMREC
Farmland Raptor Conservation event (in-person at CMREC Clarksville)

Join us for an in-person, hands-on workshop and volunteer event in which we will learn about the conservation status of Maryland farmland raptors like Barn Owls, American Kestrels, Short-eared Owls, and Northern Harriers, as well as recent efforts at UMD Research and Education Centers to conserve and monitor breeding farmland raptors, in partnership with the Maryland Farmland Raptor Program. We will cover statewide conservation status and recovery efforts, followed by nest monitoring training and hands-on kestrel box building for our Extension on-farm raptor conservation efforts. Afterwards, we will take a short raptor walk on the CMREC farm, as time allows.
Qualifies for Bay-Wise Master Gardener CEUs.
