| Details: We had a lot of good interactions with folks. Some were new club members who just recently had gotten into birding. We (and some club members who came by like Chuck, Meg, John, and Bonnie) spent time showing people how to look for birds, where to confirm a bird using Sibley, for example, and shared both our scopes and the extra binoculars which Gregg dropped off. We had two elementary school girls who were lent bins, learned how to focus them, then one immediately found a hawk in a tree which we hadn’t seen. Meg had a long talk with a new member and she is now going to come to the MOS Convention. | |
